Values are improving! Stock prices pulled back this week � not as much as we had been hoping for, but enough to expose some first-class values, particularly in the retailing sector. Now is the time to build up your holdings in this depressed area, which we think will rebound strongly into the Christmas selling season and possibly beyond.
This is a dicey, toppy-looking stock market. But there are still enough long-term bargains to keep me buying selectively. If the bear does return to Broad and Wall in 2006, I suspect that some of these bargain-basement stocks will hold their own — and possibly even appreciate — in the face of a lackluster showing by the major indexes.
